Published as Amateur Astronomy Picture of the Day (AAPOD),
7 Nov 18.
This image is LHaRGB, where Ha was used in combination with Luminance and
Ha:R (80:20) was used for the Red channel. This image contains 5 identifiable
emission nebulas. Starting with very small object left of center and below
other objects: Sh2-258. Above, to the right, and larger object is
Sh2-255
(aka, IC 2162). Object of similar size and to the right of Sh2-255 is Sh2-257. Just slightly below and to the right (and smaller) is
Sh2-256.
The last object to the right, and the largest object, is
Sh2-254. |
